ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project was made available free of charge on its own website, detailing the changes and transformations in the municipalities of the state of Rio de Janeiro from the time of Brazilian Independence to its Bicentenary.
Specifically, the years 1822, 1922 and 2022 were used as references to the changes and growth of the State, on an illustrated map (for each year) where the public can access, by clicking on each municipality existing in the chosen year, an entry containing information historical information about its creation, population at the time, main economic activities, as well as the image of the location.
Goal
Interactively inform the changes in these 200 years of Independence, in the number of municipalities (from 20 in 1822 to 92 today) and their main characteristics. With a map for each period, drawn up in an intuitive and easy-to-understand way, serving as teaching support material, expanding the historical collection and memory of the state.
